Health & Safety
COVID-19 (01/09/2020 onwards)

To protect everyone from the risks of Covid-19 infection, we have new procedures which affect how you drop off and collect your cats, and what you need to do beforehand, so please read our 10 point plan.

1. No entry to Reception or the Cattery itself: We are sorry about this but as you will appreciate we cannot safely manage social distancing in these areas.

2. New client visits no longer available: Information and images on our website give a clear idea of the quality of provision and service, and you can always phone or email us for more information.

3. Making and paying for a booking: You can book via email or telephone. Payment must be in advance of arrival and will only be taken either by bank transfer or cash.

4. What we need to know: Tell us by phone or email about any new or updated issues in relation to your cat (such as medication or dietary changes, behavioural issues, emergency contact information). There will be less opportunity to discuss these face to face.

5. What extras you can bring: You can still bring a soft bed or blanket that will have a familiar smell from home to help your cat settle. We do have these here if you wish not to bring any. You can also bring toys and a scratching post. Please remove any cat collars before arrival.

6. Your specific appointment times to drop off and collect: We will agree with you specific times to drop off and collect your cat to minimise your potential contact with other clients and to help us manage the arrival and departure of cats and owners. We will agree times with you no less than 7 days beforehand so please think about your travel arrangements. You must arrive on time. We appreciate that sometimes travel can be delayed and if this is the case please call us to agree a revised time.

7. Drop off arrangements: On arrival to drop off your cat, we will meet you at the front of the cattery. Please place the cat carrier at the front of the cattery, along with any medication, special diet, the vaccination record card, and any other items and then step at least 2 metres away. We will then pick up your cat and other items and take them to the cattery and settle them in.

8. Collection arrangements: On arrival to collect your cat, we will meet you at the front of the cattery with your cat and any belongings and place them at the front of the cattery. We will then step back to enable you to pick up your cat.

9. If you have symptoms of Covid 19: If you or anyone in your household feels unwell with symptoms of the virus, (as set out on Gov.uk), or if you have been diagnosed with the virus, or need to self-isolate whilst your cat is with us, please contact us before coming to the cattery so that we can agree appropriate measures for arrival or collection of your cat.

10. In conclusion: There is no evidence that pets are implicated in the transmission of the disease to people and infection of a pet is unlikely. But there is some risk of the virus being carried on the pet and its belongings, and the risk of transmission between infected customers and ourselves remains. So we hope you understand the need for our revised procedures. However, you can be assured that the quality of care in the cattery remains at the highest level that your cats deserve.

By making your booking you are agreeing to the above procedures and our terms and conditions.
